A Finnish design classic from 1943 by Heikki Orvola with blue & white decoration by Helorinne & Kallio.

The series was originally designed for designer Heikki Orvola’s own use. Born in Helsinki, Finland, in 1943, he is one of the driving forces within Finnish design. Working with glass, ceramics, cast iron and textiles, Orvola produced work for commercial output, but also in a variety of different materials as an art form of pure, artistic expression.

A quiet statement to reflect a desire for a leisurely pace of life. Finnish design duo Helorinne & Kallio were given a brief to get inspired by Arabia’s strong tradition in ceramic pattern making and to make a fresh look that would also sit comfortably with the classic feel of this popular range in white. Enabling you to mix and match to best suit your requirements.
