The Powis is a finely tuned, extremely versatile corner sofa system designed for rume by Richard Paul Baker. The Powis is made-to-order to fit any required dimension and layout and rume is able to produce detailed 3d drawings of any proposal so that the client can see exactly what their corner sofa will look like before purchase. The Powis can be made in two or three lockable sections with a chaise end, detachable stool or a second arm. It can have blind or piped cushions and brushed or polished stainless steel legs. As with all rume sofas it is handmade by our skilled staff in our Sussex workshops, drawing on classic English furniture making traditions and techniques and combining long established practices with proven modern materials. As shown it has a solid beech and plywood frame in three locking sections, a cross webbed platform, quilted duck feather-over-reflex foam seat cushions, duck feather and fibre back cushions and satin finish legs.
