The Helmstone is a very grounded, deep seated sofa with heavy timber feet and a decidedly masculine sensibility designed for rume by Richard. P. Baker. As with all rume sofas it is handmade to order by our skilled staff in our Sussex workshops, drawing on classic English furniture making traditions and techniques and combining long established practices with proven modern materials. This individual approach means you can specify dimension, fabric, cushion type and layout, even upholstery finishing. As shown it has a solid beech and plywood frame with cross webbed platform, quilted duck feather-over-reflex foam seat cushions and duck feather and fibre back cushions. A complementary stool is also available. It can also be made as a corner sofa and in components if access is difficult. Your choice of fabric or leather.
