The all conquering Knole sofa, the direct descendant of the very first settles (from which the word setee is derived), looks wonderful whether dressed in contemporary or traditional raiment. Comes either fully upholstered with scatters and bolsters or with a cushion back and with drop down or fixed wings. As with all rume sofas it is handmade to order by our skilled staff in our Sussex workshops, drawing on classic English furniture making traditions and techniques and combining long established practices with proven modern materials. This individual approach means you can specify dimension, fabric, cushion type and layout, bolster, tassel and trim style even finial timber and stain. As shown it has a solid beech frame, drop down wings, a sprung platform and fully upholstered back. A quilted duck feather-over-reflex foam seat cushion, duck feather scatters and bolsters, solid oak finials and custom trim. As with all of our sofas a complementary stool is also available.
