The Orford corner system is another fabulous piece of furniture by the designer of the Balzac, Matthew Hilton. It is designed as a platform for living, deep enough to curl up on, lie side by side on, sleep on, yet still comfortable enough to sit on. Its apparent simplicity belies the technical difficulties surmounted in its construction. Resolutely contemporary yet determinedly English in its curvaceous sensibility the Orford forever solves the age old problem of plumping cushions. The Orford is handmade to order in Norfolk where the skilled staff draw upon timeless English furniture making techniques and combine long established practices with proven modern materials. As shown the Orford corner system comprises a three seat chaise, a two seat chaise and a free standing ottoman. Each piece has a solid beech frame, a sinuous steel spring back (except the ottoman), cross web seat, multi-density foam upholstery and brushed anodised aluminium legs. A two and three seat sofa are also available. Your choice of fabric, not available in leather.
