Rume Associates
Not really a brand Rume Associates are a collection of English frame and cabinet makers, cutters and upholsterers, turners and machinists who together further develop and build Rume's beautiful furniture. This roster of highly accomplished tradespeople is flexible and can change depending on the project but always coalesce around, and are conducted by, a fixed centre of multi-disciplined facilitators directed by Richard Baker. Rume Associates only knows how to do things the right way, this is not the fastest way, or the easiest way or the cheapest way. Rare things are more expensive for a reason and in an increasingly ordinary world Rume's furniture is rare. This does not mean we are deliberately elitist or here only for the wealthy, appreciation of beautiful craftsmanship is universal, and in our opinion, despite the ascendency of disposability, some things are still worth saving up for.
