flos foglio

Price From: £170.00

Continuing our unending search for the perfect wall light we submit Foglio by Tobia Scarpa for Flos. Amazingly the Foglio, an unerringly modern object, was designed in 1966. The idea being to contain two 100w light bulbs in as simple a structure as possible. The result is a light that is surprisingly large, made of steel and delivers very bright partially diffused light. For a large light the Foglio takes up very little visual space as its fluid form seems to meld not only with the wall’s surface but also with the sensibilities of almost any room, of almost any period. This is a light that looks good on the wall of the most modern house or the wall of a Victorian apartment, this is a light that would look on the wall of a caveman’s cave. The Foglio is available in white, shiny black and bright chrome plate, all with a white interior, and works just as well with dimmable LED’s as it does with halogens. This is a light for those who like great design to be noticed as a result of fulfilled purpose.
