Flos Glo Ball Ceiling

Price From: £330.00

The acid etched ball light has been a staple of many lighting design companies for many years but the Glo Ball is simply different. Instead of striving to achieve the perfect sphere the Glo Ball is hand-blown oblate, in other words slightly flattened at the top and bottom. This gives the light a marvellous lateral sensibility, meaning that even the C2, the larger of the two lamps, never looks top heavy. The ball seems to sit perfectly on the ceiling, never threatening to roll away and its flashed opaline glass diffuses the light beautifully and evenly, and with a halogen or compatible LED bulb fitted, is dimmable. The Glo Ball is attached to its ceiling mount via a large internal threaded ring so removing it for cleaning or to change the bulb is easy. Designed by Jasper Morrison in 1998 for Flos, the Glo Ball also comes in a pendant and wall version as well as unstemmed and stemmed table and floor versions. This is an old idea reimagined in a new and marvellous way.
