Muuto Under The Bell - 55cm

Under The Bell is a marvellous new light designed by Iskos-Berlin for Muuto. It is made from recycled PET plastic which has been molded into a dome and then covered in a synthetic felt inside and out. Its form is heavily rippled, giving it a wonderful permanence and strength of character and emulating corrugated iron. With its large dimension and felted surface it can help to absorb noise and improve the acoustics of almost any space but it does this lightly, despite its size it never feels overbearing. Under The Bell is designed to create a space within a space, to give a sense of shelter and to encourage conversation, not only about it but under it. Available with a black or grey exterior, Under The Bell gives off a soft pleasing down illumination, holding light within its white interior and throwing the outer shell into relief. This creates dramatic shadow play and further deepens the corrugations on the surface. An unusual and ceaselessly pleasing addition to any kitchen or dining room. Or lounge. Bedroom.
